Commando Courageous is a war diary "far and away above all personal records of the Boer war that have gone before". It is the account of an English speaking young South African, written while on commando during the Anglo-Boer War and first published 50 years later.

Rare book in very good condition. Light foxing on prelims and edges of text block. Attractive pale green cloth boards with red foil lettering on spine. Dust wrapper in fair condition: intact but with multiple short tears and approximately 1 sq cm of paper loss across bottom of spine. Owner's inscription on front flyleaf.
