Each photo is worth more than a thousand words — a MILLION is more like it! I had never seen Eshu/Legba with the phallus that I had only read about before Soul of Africa. This is a good book for someone who wishes to incorporate the best of African religion — taking away some of the prudishness found in diaspora/New World/syncretic Catholic Santeria.
